The Best / Easiest Korean BBQ Marinade (you will thank me after)

I’m going to share with you the best (and easiest) marinade recipe on the planet. This will make you a hit with your friends. You will be the first person invited at your friend’s bbqs! You will thank me later!

So this is a version of the marinade that my mom used for Korean short rib (Kalbi), chicken thighs, and pork shoulder steaks. When shopping for the kalbi short rib cut, you can usually find it at your local Asian grocery store but if you don’t have one, go to Whole Foods and ask for the “Flanken” cut. That’s what they call the Kalbi cut.

Korean BBQ Marinade recipe

1 cup of soy sauce (or tamari)
1/3rd cup of Sesame oil
8 cloves of garlic
4 green onions
1 Asian pear or an Apple

Throw the garlic cloves into your food processor and pulse on their own. Add green onions, Asian pear (or apple), soy sauce (or tamari), and sesame oil. Pulse until everything liquefies. Add to short rib or chicken thighs or pork shoulder steaks and let marinate at least a few hours. With the short rib (kalbi cut), I recommend taking the back end of a knife and pounding out the meat for extra tenderness!

Grill those babies up and enjoy with steamed rice, veggies, and KREAM Kimchi!
Enjoy! Please comment on your results!

Just want to say thank you for doing this, I love Korean food, and in this Covid time it has been difficult to get it, you are well needed, and not to get some recipes to prepare it is such a bonus
Thank You 😊
