Ive been making this marinade for decades! The recipe comes from my mom. It has 5 ingredients: 

Tamari (gluten free soy sauce), Fuji apples, garlic, green onions, and sesame oil  

It’s great on short ribs especially kalbi (ask for flanken cut), chicken thighs, skirt steak, tofu, tempeh, mushrooms, pork shoulder steaks and more! Please use or freeze within 30 days. Marinade meats for at least 2 hours to overnight. Tempeh, tofu, and mushrooms don't have to be marinaded ahead of time as you can add it as it is pan-frying.
